UAE Flatly Denies Transferring Funds to Iran

(MENAFN) The United Arab Emirates firmly rejected reports on Friday alleging that it had facilitated the transfer of funds to Iran, including claims involving $3 billion, calling the accounts entirely without basis.

"The United Arab Emirates has categorically denied reports published by certain international media outlets alleging the transfer of funds from the UAE to the Islamic Republic of Iran, including allegations concerning USD 3 billion," the country's Foreign Ministry stated.

The ministry described the claims as "entirely false and unfounded," stressing that "no frozen Iranian funds have been released, transferred, or facilitated through the UAE." It further called on media organizations to prioritize accuracy, consult official sources, and avoid circulating unverified material.
