Russia thanks UAE for holding trilateral talks with Ukraine, US

(MENAFN) Russia expressed appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for facilitating trilateral discussions with Ukraine and the United States, according to reports from Emirati media on Sunday.

Kirill Dmitriev, Russia’s presidential envoy for international economic and investment cooperation, conveyed the message during a meeting with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Dmitriev passed along greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin and thanked the UAE for hosting the talks, which are part of broader efforts to promote dialogue and seek diplomatic solutions to the crisis in Ukraine, according to local reports.

The trilateral discussions concluded on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. Both Kyiv and Washington praised the talks and announced that further conversations are planned for next week.

The meeting also included discussions on cooperation and joint initiatives between Russia and the UAE, with an emphasis on expanding collaboration across economic, investment, and development sectors, the reports noted.
